Internationally recognized contemporary figurative artist Andrei Protsouk is celebrated not only for his paintings, but for his extraordinary mastery of drawing and composition. Rooted in over 17 years of rigorous classical training, Protsouk’s draftsmanship reflects the academic traditions of the legendary Ilya Repin Academy, whose lineage traces back more than 300 years to the great Spanish and Italian Baroque masters. Having studied at four elite art institutions, Andrei achieved the highest academic distinction in anatomical drawing and classical painting, earning recognition as one of the Academy’s most accomplished draftsmen.
Many of his original studies and drawings created during his years at the Repin Academy remain preserved in the school’s academic museum, where they continue to be studied by new generations of artists. These works demonstrate not only technical brilliance but the intellectual clarity and compositional intelligence that define Protsouk’s signature “Fine Line” technique.
