Born in Ventspils, Latvia, Dennis was raised by Soviet artists in the Repin Academy of Art in St. Petersburg, Russia. Dennis and his family immigrated to the United States in 1994. Protsouk studied art and apprentices in his father Andrei Protsouk’s studio and gallery. Following the success and fame of his father, Dennis followed his footsteps to pursue an artist's career.
Dennis focuses the subject of his work around ideas of our contemporary society; a recontextualization of today’s social themes. Although his work tends to be more expressive than the controlled and calculated work of his father’s, Dennis’s work is also rooted in the Spanish and Italian painting techniques Andrei taught him as an apprentice in his studio.
Additionally, Dennis is also an “art-repreneur” and works full-time as his father’s agent and gallery manager at Andrei Art Gallery and Studio in Stroudsburg, PA. Professionally Dennis is actually a marketing professional having graduated with a B.A. in International Business and Marketing degree from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
He is always taking on new commissions and offers limited editions of all his work.
